US Citizenship Test 2026 ("we", "our", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights. This policy applies to the US Citizenship Test 2026 mobile application available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

1. Information We Collect

Account information (optional): If you create an account, we collect your email address and display name. Account creation is entirely optional — you can use all core features as a guest.

Location information: Your ZIP code to identify your state, congressional district, and local representatives. We do not collect precise GPS or geolocation data.

Study progress: Quiz results, correct/incorrect counts, streaks, and bookmarked questions. This data is stored locally on your device and, if you have an account, synced to our server for backup.

Device information: When you use the App, third-party services (Google AdMob, Firebase Cloud Messaging) may automatically collect device identifiers (such as Advertising ID on Android and IDFA on iOS), device model, operating system version, and general usage data. We do not access or store this information on our servers.

Push notification tokens: If you enable push notifications, we store a device token on our server to deliver notifications. This token is deleted when you delete your account or disable notifications.

The App displays non-personalized advertisements provided by Google AdMob. These ads are not based on your personal information, browsing history, or study activity.

AdMob may collect and use device identifiers (Advertising ID / IDFA), IP address, and general device information to serve ads and measure ad performance, in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy.

Local storage: All study data is stored on your device using an offline database. No data is transmitted to our servers without your explicit action (account creation or login).

Server storage: For authenticated users, progress data is backed up to our server hosted in the United States. Data is stored securely and access is limited to authorized personnel only.

Data transfer: If you are located outside the United States, your data may be transferred to and processed in the United States where our servers are located. By using the App, you consent to this transfer.

Local data is kept on your device until you uninstall the app, reset your progress, or delete your account.

Server data is deleted immediately and permanently when you delete your account. We do not retain backups of deleted accounts.

How to delete your account:

Upon deletion, all data is permanently removed including: account profile, quiz history, study progress, bookmarks, streaks, spaced repetition data, and device tokens.

This app is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted HTTPS connections, hashed passwords (bcrypt), and JWT-based authentication. However, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
